More than 1 000 women from various parts of Africa will convene on 7 September 2019 in Maseru, the capital of Lesotho, for the 2019 Global Business Roundtable Women of Character (WoC) summit aimed at discussing, among others, economic growth issues through the empowerment of women.
The event will take place at the Manthabiseng Convention Centre, and feature a line-up of powerful speakers.
These include Her Majesty the Queen of Lesotho, who will deliver the keynote speech, followed by an address by Dr Mahali Phamotse, Lesotho minister of gender, youth, sports and recreation, and Free State provincial minister for Treasury (South Africa) Elzabe Rockman.
Lebogang Motsane, Zimbabwe’s Petronella Chigara Didima, Netherlands’s Helena Roets, Likeleli Monyamany, USA’s Vanessa Williams and Kenya’s Ekrah Ndungu will also be part of the line-up.
Topics to be debated include opportunities in agriculture, trade and investment, building strategic relationships in business, effective ways of using income streams, education, personal and spiritual development, and abuse and harassment.
At the end, South African talented superstar Judith Sephuma will entertain the crowds alongside musicians such as Lebo Sekgobela, FTG Men’s Worship Team and GBR Worship, among others.
