Nearly nine months after holding the controversial elections that saw Felix Tshisekedi elected president through to a deal cut with former president Joseph Kabila, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has finally appointed a government early this morning.
There are 66 members in the new government, including 13 women, and five vice-prime ministers. The Front Commun pour le Congo (FCC), Kabila’s coalition, got 43 posts and the rest went to CACH, Tshisekedi’s camp, which includes his party UDPS.
