JOHANNESBURG – Mamelodi Sundowns striker Jeremy Brockie’s future is yet to be decided with the reigning Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions.
According to his agent, Mike Makaab of ProSport International, the New Zealand international is not having negotiations with any PSL club.
With media reports suggesting that the former SuperSport United striker could be on his way to Kaizer Chiefs following a frustrating stint with coach Pitso Mosimane’s side, Makaab told DailyAfrika that his future remains undecided as yet.
It has been reported that Mosimane admitted that the bearded forward has struggled at Sundowns and it has been speculated that he could be part of a swap deal involving Kabelo Mahlasela from Chiefs.
“No negotiations are taking place with any club as yet regarding Jeremy. Nothing is certain at this point with Jeremy,” Makaab told DailyAfrika.
Having joined the Brazilians from SuperSport in January 2017, Brockie has failed to replicate his prolific goalscoring form at Chloorkop.
Apart from Amakhosi, Orlando Pirates are also reportedly interested in luring the top striker to their ranks as they look to bolster their attacking options for the new season.
Meanwhile, Mosimane recently told the media that ‘JB’ got his chances but the former Bafana Bafana boss could not figure out why the Kiwi international was struggling.
Since joining the 2016 Caf Champions League champions, Brockie could only find the back of the net on one occasion out of 17 PSL games for Sundowns.
