JOHANNESBURG – After taking the stage at one of the biggest talent search shows in the world known as, America’s Got Talent, The Ndlovu Youth Choir received a rousing welcome when they touched down in South Africa.
The choir based in Limpopo arrived in South Africa at the OR Tambo International Airport on Friday evening to a heroes’ welcome.
Following six weeks of standing ovations and winning the hearts of the world, the youth choir from amassed international fame when it entered and made it to the finals of America’s Got Talent.

Despite its moving tribute to African performances, the choir failed to secure the public vote, losing the competition to 22-year-old singer Kodi Lee and their journey came to an end on Thursday.
However, the members said the experience is a dream come true where the international arrival gate was packed to the rafters with camera crews from news reporters and hundreds of supporters waiting to congratulate the group on a wonderful run on the show.
Meanwhile, former television presenter Felicia Mabuza-Suttle also joined many South Africans to congratulate the choir on her Twitter pages.

The group was founded by Dutch doctor Hugo Templeman in 2009 and has had moderate success in South Africa.
For the community of Moutse, a dusty village about 200 kilometres from Polokwane, basic necessities are a daily struggle and life is hard where the young boys and girls have had a glorious opportunity to shine at an international stage.
This time the village has drawn the attention of South Africans and the world thanks to the Ndlovu Youth Choir through their mesmerising performances on one of the biggest entertainment platforms in the US.
